Loony 'war' plan
IT sounds downright loony but a ragtag group of Indonesian vigilantes has declared war on Malaysia and set Oct 8 as the day of “invasion”.
The hotheads, who call themselves Benteng Demokrasi Indonesia or Bendera in short, have already amassed an arsenal for their attack - arrows and bows, samurai swords and bamboo spears.
The group’s readiness for war was reported by the Jakarta Globe and some television stations.
Although Bendera has not been taken seriously in Jakarta, surprisingly, it has managed to attract media attention and frenzied supporters with its war cry of "kill Malaysians."
