Our History books in Malaysia often glorify a person name Yap Ah Loy.
This man supposedly contributed to the development of Kuala Lumpur.
How well do you really know him????

Yap Ah Loy arrives in Malacca on TONGKANG to start a new life. He later moved to Selangor to get involved in Tin Mining and work for the Malay politicians as well as the British. Being such a cool dude, he was promoted to become the Chinese Kapitan of a new area in Selangor (which is now called Kuala Lumpur).

Of coz, TIN MINING TOWN.... muddy water... no beach front.....in the middle of no where.................................

All the miners who worked there faced mundane and repetitive tasks on the field of mud (Hence the name Kuala Lumpur).
Being a progressive Kapitan, Yang Berhormat Yap Ah Loy had to find ways to keep his workers happy .....in order to keep them at work, motivationally.
With that thought in mind:
-Opium were brought in... so that his workers can get HIGH.
-Brothels and Night Clubs were set up to keep his workers entertained.
-New clans were formed to control this 'HERB' and 'ENTERTAINMENT' business. These clans consists of 'Very Nice People' who'll do 'anything' in the interest of local community development.
With all these developments in the tin mining town, Kuala Lumpur became the most vibrant town in Malaya.

It was these activities that makes Kuala Lumpur the most developed city in the entire Malaysia.
Thanks to our Pimp and Druglord Yap Ah Loy, Kuala Lumpur is biggest city and economical hub for the nation today.
