Whether they are from China, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, Alaska or Mars; for as long as they have ancestors from China, they will GAMBLE.
YES. Everyone of them.
Whether they are punting some luck during Chinese New Year, homegame Mahjong, street bets, Casino or Stock Market; they will gamble. It's a DIE HARD habit inherited through the undying Chinese Culture.
One trait of Malaysian Chinese that is still considered intact with their cultural heritage from China would be their desire to gamble.
Gambling may be a source of entertainment to many people around the world, but, ...to the Cinabeng...... IT IS BUSINESS.
___________
The Economical Loss of Gambling
Chinese put up as much BRAINPOWER to gamble as to work.
You can say, they work hard, THEY GAMBLE EVEN HARDER.
Every time they make some money, some part of the money will go back into the economical system through gambling.
They gamble on their free times. They gamble when they have gathering. They gamble when they are bored. They even gamble while waiting for some broth to cook in the kitchen.
If these cunts would have put up an equivalent amount of effort and BRAINPOWER they used from Gambling into work, they would have doubled their wealth easily.
___________
The Culture of 'Fortune'
Through decades of suffering and poverty ; Through the Dynasty wars, civil wars and communism; Chinese in China had been entrenched with the idea of "getting out of poverty" through whatever mean. Their drive for wealth-related-success is so high that they'll do anything to get rich (e.g. Gambling, Con-Job and becomes Politician).
Unfortunately, they've relied too much on the term 'Fortune'.
It seems that no matter how hard the Chinese try, none of them will ever get out of the notion of 'Fortune'.
The notion of 'fortune' is evidently shown in:
-The Fortune Cookie
-The Fortune God (Choy San)
-Well Wishes of Fortune to each other (Especially during Chinese New Year).
Somehow, 'fortune' seems to be the high-drive for RISK-TAKING.
They believed, if 'fortune came', anything will worth a gamble.
-They'll go crazy in the Casino.
-Put all their money into Stock Market.
-Sacrifice their baby's milk powder to bet on the right Horse during the race.

The Spirit of Chinese New Year and Funeral Gambling
There are two main occasions when Chinese family gathering turns into syndicated casinos at home.
They are Chinese New Year and Funeral.
.........
During Chinese New Year, everyone is encouraged to gamble. It had known to be the best way to bring the family closer together.
Looking on the bright side, at least during CNY, when they gamble, the money circulate amongst people that they know.
Occasionally fights broke out due to Cheating in game. It is normally resolved with a slap from the elders.
.........
During Funeral, the family members are encouraged to gamble and drink through the night for these reasons:
-To make a lot of noise.
-To stay awake.
-To send off the spirit.
Chinese makes HELL LOTSA NOISE when they gamble. During Funeral, this 'noises' are important, as the 'dead' needs to know the way to their afterlife with the guidance of their noises.

There is nothing on Earth that Chinese won't place their bets on
Almost anything can be played. They don't need to know the odds. THey just need the 'feel the luck'.
E.g: You might tell your Chinese friends "I don't think it's going to rain today".
They'll reply you, "I bet it's going to rain. Wanna Bet?"
They hustle you into a bet with them; ....into some unknown odds.
The popular question "YOU WANNA BET?" is often heard from the Chinese mouth themselves.
They'll bet with you on almost anything.
-When it's going to rain.
-How many bottle of beers they can consume.
-Who is going to be the next PM.
-What colour is Rosmah Mansor's underwear.
-Chicken first or egg first.
"YOU WANNA BET?"
"WANNA BET AR?"
"NAK BET?"
BET BET BET BET BET.....yada yada yada...
______________
Chinese will bet anything
Chinese enjoy the thrills of winning. They'll bet their entire bank account if it takes to rechallenge their losses.
Even when they are completely broke, they won't mind putting everything else on the table to bet. They won't even mind betting chocolates, wedding rings, daughters or their own head
They even invented a stupid game called Fish Shrimp Crab (Popularly played by Hongkies and some part of Mainland China).
What a stupid game. It's just, "GUESS..... Fish, Shrimp of Crab?"
______________
Chinese Learn about Gambling at Young Age
Essentially, the idea of 'fortune' are implanted into their child's head since young. Most elders are more than happy to teach their kids how to gamble.
Along the way, they'll master all the games.--Blackjack, Poker, Mahjong or some stupid game called 'Fish Shrimp Crab'.
Some of us may not know, the game called 'TIKAM' in Malaysia is actually a form of lottery for the kids.
These Cinabeng shop would display a range of toys, candies and rubbishes to attract kids to punt their luck by buying these little tickets. After a few 'small wins', the kids become addicted to this form of gambling. The kids would eventually extort money from friends, steal money from parents, hijack cars and deal drugs to get money JUST TO BUY 'TIKAM'.

They Gamble till they Die
It is never too old to gamble. In fact, the older they are, the more likely they will gamble.
You can expect all their EPF/ Superannuation goes down the drain with a blink when they hit the casino.
Quite a lot of Malaysian Chinese retirement funds ends up in Genting.
Maybe KWSP should shift their office there; that could save them a lot of time (These cunts can withdraw there to donate to Genting).

The Chinese Lottery Madness
Anyone can buy lotteries in any form here. They can be in Ticket form, horse-racing results, ball-drawing 7digit game, or the popular 4D.
You can buy the regular lottery tickets from the MahPiaoMan anywhere in Malaysia.
These MahPiaoMan (the Lottery Ticket Vendor) walks around the coffeeshop, cafes, mamaks, traffic lights or public toilets to sell you lottery tickets.
In Malaysia, 4D (the four digit number) lottery game is so popular, winners take pride in showing off the number they win.
The FOUR DIGITS seems appropriate for them to play.
Apparently, Chinese sees 'LUCK' everywhere.
They believe there are some DIVINE LUCK SIGNAL
-It could be the date of a person's birthday.
-It could be the last 4 digit of a person's IC.
-It could be the serial number for warranty of their oven.
-It could be the number of employee Dell plan to retrench.
-It could be the number plate of an overturned vehicle.
Some of them even believe that there are techniques to winning 4D (which is 100% luck based).
For more information on 4D and its ridiculous odds, you can read my older article.

Casino - HEAVEN ON EARTH
Here are the views of Chinese Heaven; - Genting Highland Resort/Casino
Genting is so smart, they even build it on top of hills to simulate the HEAVENLY panorama.
When Chinese drives up the hill, they feel like they are approaching HEAVEN.
In the casino, almost 95% of the gamers/luck-punters consists of Chinese.
With all seriousness, they treat gambling like an occupation. Occasionally, it's a LIFE OR DEATH matter.
They don't smile at all. They were all 100% serious into their games; ...as if they depend on it for their life.
Slot Machines are popular here. Chinese can sit down on one machine and play for 3 days straight; gambling an amount up to RM200k - without any sleep, drink, food, sex or rest.
They all wait for the moment they hit the Jackpot (The Ringing Sound it made when JACKPOT are struck will be the soundtrack of their life).
By striking JACKPOT, they get a lot of CASH, a car and a lot of friends.
In the Casino, Gaming Chips are their currency. They can buy anything with it. -Food, Drinks, Friendship or Chicks.
Of coz, some horny guys are looking forward to win some prizes in there. China Dolls (prostitutes) roam freely to target at some lucky winners who wouldn't mind spending a fortune to go in bed with them. They will accept GAMING CHIPS as payment.
..........
Yes, when they win...it is indeed HEAVENLY.

The Chinaman Casino Chants
In most games, 'high cards' are valued highly.
In games like Baccarat or Casino Wars, 10-J-Q-K is valued as 0.
In games like BlackJack or Pontoon, 10-J-Q-K is valued as 10. Where Ace is either 1 or 11.
These HIGH CARDS is around 30% of the deck, which is 3 out of 10 odds of every draw.
For instance, in the game of BlackJack, if the first card drawn is an ACE, the chinaman would certainly shout and chant for the next card to be a High Card.
These are the words for HIGH CARDS they normally use to chant:-
- PICTURE! (Becoz J-Q-K is in form of a picture card)
- Monkey! (I heard this in the movie '21')
- Big Card!
- Oosh! (Just a popular random chant)
-Oosh! Ga Ga.
- Lai Lai Lai!
- Huat Ah!!! ( Means Prosperity in Hokkien)
- Ah Gong (Granddad, becoz the king looks like an oldman)
- Ah Peh (Ahpek means old man, becoz the King looks like an oldman)

The Roadside Casino
In China, gambling is evidently seen all over the country. They actually set up mini casino on the roadside.
You can never find a city in China without illegal street gambling.

To Chinese, Stock Market = Casino
Everyone knows that it takes a little luck to make BUSINESSES work.
We all know that the Public Listed companies need capital to run their businesses, and the intention of getting someone to seed them is part of their investment into the company.
To an average Chinese, they would think that "they are BETTING" on these companies.
To Most Chinese, Stock market is never a place for investment; but a gaming centre.
They play(they don't 'invest') Short-Term/High-Risk stocks that are a lot more volatile.
They watches the stock price screen as if their money is "going up or down".
Hell, they even do SIDE GAMES while waiting for the Stock Price to Move.
___________________
The TV Influence
With the notion of 'fortune' so highly entrenched, some Chinese actually believes they can become the GOD of GAMBLER.
They believe that they are the GOD of all games involving cards, tiles, horses, dogs and dices ; ....WITH MONEY INVOLVED.
This is evidently shown in a lot of Gambling Related Movies.
Not surprising.... these movies became BEST SELLING MOVIES. Every gamblers love these movies. That means, every Chinese love these movies.
After watching these movies, they'll go back and set up a home game to replicate the scenes from the movies (except the unnecessary fights).
Some of them even try to 'change their cards' through 'divine' method. It is done by having their mind focused on the card, rubbing it intensely to change it to another card.
(You can see this ridiculous scene from Stephen Chow's God of Gambler).
What a joke. If anyone can change cards, Genting would be out of business by now.

The Long Hour Gaming
Gambling is such a waste of time. A game can take anywhere between 5 seconds to 20 years.
There are people who play a set of poker game for 5 hours straight.
Chinese can last any mahjong game more than 7hours.
If we count the amount of all Malaysian Chinese Manhour lost to Mahjong games (since Merdeka), it would have enough time for all Chinese in Malaysia to build KLCC with their barehands twice.
_________________
Gambling can be healthy for the occasional gamblers; but serious hazard for the addicts.
If there is anything from the Chinese Culture that they should not adopt, it would be the habit of gambling.
