Saravanan "catches" two doctors not doing their jobs
KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Federal Territories Minister Datuk M. Saravanan “caught” two doctors at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL)emergency department reading newspapers and doing their own stuff instead of attending to more than 20 patients who were waiting for treatment.
Saravanan made the shocking discovery at about 10.30am on Sunday when he went to the hospital to visit a university student who was injured after he was knocked down by a car driven by his (Saravanan’s) driver.
“I, too, waited for a while for the girl to be treated and, realising that none of the patients were being called in by the doctors, I opened the door to the treatment room. I was shocked to find one doctor reading a newspaper and the other minding his own business and doing his own stuff.
“There were more than 20 patients outside waiting for treatment. This should not be the way doctors work. The patient should come first. Furthermore, it is an emergency unit, which is supposed to be fast in dispensing treatment,” the visibly irked Saravanan told Bernama.

Can you imagine.....
In the emergency department; people are waiting, and the doctors are procrastinating;- reading the papers. How cool is that?
Here are the possible scenes in the emergency department:-
- A kid who just broke his arm from falling down a staircase. He is groaning in pain as the bone stick out of the flesh.
- A young girl who just got robbed by a gang of motorcycle robbers (some call them Mat Rempit), and sustain a heavy bleeding on a head after a concussion in the head from the impact of helmet.
- A weirdo clamping a vacuum cleaner on his crouch; possible due to a bizarre way of masturbation. He is covered in a Sarong to prevent people from seeing his problem.
- An old woman breathing heavily; as if she's going out of breath. Some serious respiratory problem.
- A group of kids with all kinda injuries gathered around to get treatment after a crazy gang fight.
- An old man holding a towel capping his eye, with blood dripping out of his eye socket.
Here are the possible scenes in the doctors' consultation room:s-
- Reading Newspaper (A daily routine)
- Watching TV
- Playing Nintendo DS
- Chatting on phone
- Banging nurses
_____________
That's just government hospital.
That also happen in some inefficient private firms.
Have Saravanan ever been to Shah Alam's Maybank? I remember hanging about more that 3 hours just to wait for my turn to terminate the bank account (Yes, because they are too slow).
There are 8 active counters- only 2 person running the teller, dozen of people walking about inside drinking tea and exchanging laughters... and I'm Holding a Number 2133 ticket... at times of collection it was 2029.
Even the 2 tellers are talking to each other and procrastinate.
I even remember a dude who got so angry with the slow services that he was cursing away after only 30mins.

Come on, what are 20 people in the queue???
Saravanan has obviously been getting VIP treatment everywhere that he has not gotten a chance to WAIT.
YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE…. TQVM
