Most of us don't even know these superheroes exist. Little did we know that country like Indonesia and Thailand have supercool superheroes that simply kick arse. Though they maybe adapted from comic, they localized their superhero so well that we see them potentially saving the world.

But, will our Cicakman save the world????
Maybe just save 1 cheerleader...

(he could fly through space without a space suit, was nearly invulnerable, had vaguely-defined nuclear powers, and some mental powers, He also had wing-like ears and small wings on his ankles)

Cicakman from Malaysia
(sticking to walls, making chirping cicak noises ,eat bugs and fight like sissy)

Commentary

Malaysian seems to be trapped in the whole Lawak industry. Every movies that were made must have comedic elements. Saiful Apek (ex- Senario member) were cast to play the role of Cicakman (Home Gecko Man) whom fight like sissy and whine all the time.

Check out Indonesia's Gundala and Thailand's Mercuryman. Aren't they just 'superhero-like'?
The superhero-coolness factor are not seen in Cicakman unlike all other international superheroes.


When are we going to get a REAL SUPERHERO???????

Probably not.... Crowds are not interested in REAL SUPERHEROES. They just want a good laugh. I guess Cicakman did the job.

I can't say the same for the upcoming Cicakman2, but I'll go the cinema to watch it regardless- Beli Barangan Buatan Malaysia. Remember, always support Local Movies.
